今回は、強豪ラグビーチームで競技に取り組む学生に、カスタムメイドマウスガードを製作しました🏉

今回は、1枚のマウスガード用シートから製作。
外傷のリスクが高い前歯部は約3mmの厚みを確保し、一方で厚みを必要としない部分はできるだけ薄く仕上げることで、必要な部位にしっかりとした保護を持たせながら、装着時の違和感を抑えるよう調整しています。

さらに、パフォーマンス中に自然な噛み締めができるよう、軽く噛んだ状態でも上下の歯が全体的にしっかり接触するように咬合面を調整しました。

スポーツでは、プレー中の転倒や接触などによって、歯や口腔内に大きな力が加わることがあります。

This time, we provided a custom-made mouthguard for a student who plays rugby at a highly competitive level. 🏉

For this mouthguard, we used a single sheet of mouthguard material. We adjusted the thickness according to the areas where protection is needed.

The anterior teeth, which are more susceptible to trauma during sports, were designed to have approximately 3 mm of thickness, while areas that do not require as much thickness were made thinner. This allows us to provide protection where it is needed while maintaining comfort and minimizing bulk.

We also carefully adjusted the occlusal surface so that all of the teeth make stable contact when the athlete lightly bites down. This is intended to allow natural, physiological clenching during athletic performance.
